Obsolete Parts Replacement
Since the development of the first Evatronix IP core in 1997, we have been gaining extensive experience in designing IP cores with pin-to-pin or functional equivalency to the existing obsolete chips.
Our detailed analysis of the original chip’s behavior is performed with Evatronix proprietary hardware modeling tool. It is integrated with third-party software to guarantee clock-by-clock precision and seamless operation of developed IP replacements.
The next stages, FPGA prototyping and verification in the original chip environment, further secure hardware and software compatibility of the replacement IP with the existing application.
All of Evatronix obsolete IP cores are provided with the same first class support and guarantee as our other products.

C6502 - a fast 8-bit microprocessor IP that implements the same instruction set as the MOS Technology 6502.
C65C02 - a fast 8-bit microprocessor IP that implements the same instruction set as the 65C02 microprocessor chip, which is an upgraded versionof the popular NMOS-based MOS Technology 6502 8-bit CPU.
CZ80CPU - a fully functional 8-bit processor IP core that has the same instruction set as the Zilog Z80.
C80186XL – an Intel 80c186xl pin compatible version of the C80186 microcontroller. It implements a DRAM Refresh unit, 3x Timer/Counter, 2x DMA, and an Interrupt Control Unit.
C80186EC – an Intel 80c186ec pin compatible version of the C80186 microcontroller. It implements a DRAM Refresh unit, 3x Timer/Counter, 2x USART, 4x DMA, 3x 8-bit IOs, 2x 8259a, and a WatchDog.
C80186EA – an Intel 80c186ea pin compatible version of the C80186 microcontroller. It implements a DRAM Refresh unit, 3x Timer/Counter, 2x DMA, and an Interrupt Control Unit.
C68000 - a powerful 16/32-bit microprocessor IP which executes instruction list compatible with the Motorola MC68000 microprocessor.
C32025TX - a single-chip, high performance 16-bit fixed-point digital signal processor. It is derived from the TMS320C25 design by Texas Instruments.
C387L - a high performance match coprocessor derived from the Intel i387SX. A computing system that includes the C387L fully conforms to the IEEE Standard for Floating- Point Arithmetic (IEEE 754).

For one of the major medical companies in Denmark we have developed an alternative for expensive and obsolete DRAM memories. By connecting a customized SDRAM controller in an FPGA, we were able to plug in more efficient and cheaper SDRAM memories that saved this product from expensive re-design.
